How Early Should I Book My Graduation Session?

I would recommend to book your session at least a month before your graduation date. Turn around time galleries can be between 3-4 weeks.

It is always best to plan ahead and reserve your picture date as soon as you can.

During graduation season it gets pretty busy and weekend shoots book fast.

Where Can We Do The Photoshoot?

This depends on what vision you have. Most of the time, people like to do it on campus but that doesn't mean that is the only place to get inspired. Chose a location that is special to you or where you feel most comfortable shooting.

Things to Keep in Mind About an "On Campus" Photoshoot

TIME: Your photoshoot will be a little bit longer because we would need walk around to find locations to shoot. Depending on how big the campus it can take some time to get from one end to the other. There are location that are landmarks of the campus and where many decide to take pictures at. During grad season, there might we a waiting line to get the shot as other grads are also trying to take the same picture at the same location. As photographers, we try to be respectful and not rush other photographers that are trying to get their shots. Usually a session would be around 60 min but on campus can vary between 60-90 minutes. I would suggest having a list of locations you would want to takes pictures by before your shoot. Maybe take some time to scout the campus and find cool new locations for your graduation session.

Campus Rules: Some campuses have specific rules when it comes brining props on campus. If you are planning to bring confetti or anything that can get a little messy, I would suggest checking if the campus has any specific regulations regarding grad photoshoots.

Outside of Campus

If you don't want to take pictures at your campus, you have options! We can rent a studio, or outdoor venue location. We can also do the photo session at the beach or a garden. I would suggest choosing a location that you would like to look back a the pictures and be happy with. You can get creative and chose to do it at a fair or amusement park. The possibilities are endless and I am here to make sure you get the grad pictures you always wanted.

Things to keep in mind on outdoor session:

Weather: During the Spring season, it can sometimes rain or it may be too hot. Time change also impacts the best time to shoot before we lose the daylight.

What to Bring to Your Photoshoot?

BRING your personality!

these are moments to celebrate and to be excited about finishing a chapter in your life. At first you might be a little shy but I promise you will get more comfortable as the we continue the shoot.

BRING someone that can will be there to cheer you on!

( and help you carry your things! lol)

I am all about having a support system but make sure you are comfortable being yourself with whoever you bring. That they help you loosen up a little instead of making you more reserved.

BRING comfortable shoes!

there will be a lot of walking around and if you plan on brining dressy shoes, I would suggesting bringing an extra pair of comfortable shoes to walk around.

BRING creativity!

Look through Pinterest for inspiration or if you have a vision, please share with me prior to your shoot so we can both be on the same page. I love getting creative and showing who you are through your pictures. If you don't have an idea of what you are going for, NO WORRIES! I can also help with some suggestions.

BRING PROPS!

Bring confetti poppers, bottle to celebrate, items that have to do with your career or things that represent who you are. This is a great time to represent your hobbies, your culture, who you are as an individual at this point on your life.

Ultimately,

Don't forget to have fun and enjoy this moment! If you would like to bring your parents to be part of your shoot, there is no extra charge for that. I see the support families put into their children reaching their accomplishments and having them be part of this is a given. <3
